Favourite Pubs

Morris Dancers are supposed to hang around pubs - we do our best! These are a few of the places you might find us . . . . . .

The Crown - West Down
Three miles north of Braunton, two miles south of Ilfracombe. Our home base, where we collapse after practice on Wednesday evenings. Roaring log fire, pool, no juke box, and good ale. What more can you want.

Berrynarbor - The Globe Inn

Between Ilfracombe and Combe Martin, has always made the Morris more than welcome.  Magnificent food, and a year-round trade from locals and visitors alike, ensure they're always busy.

The Ship Aground - Mortehoe
One of our favourite dance spots. A pub, a church, and a chippie in the square, makes for a marvellous summer evening atmosphere, where the crowd is always appreciative of our nonsense

Poltimore Inn - North Molton
For one evening every summer, we go and take over the square, then collapse into the warm welcom that is the Polti. And free chips as well ~ Bargain!

Hunter's Inn - Parracombe

The Hunters Inn holds pride of place within one of Exmoor's most outstanding areas of natural beauty, the Heddon Valley, one of the deepest in England. The inn has been a focal point for both locals and visitors to the area since the mid 19th century. And the scene of The Exmoor Border Morris 10th Anniversary bash in 2008 ~ Fantastic

The Bell - Chittlehampton
Scene of some fantastic nonsense over the years, especially when Winkleigh Morris are there as well. Guaranteed a good session to finish the evening

Ilfracombe - Sandpiper
Snuggled in the corner of the harbour, we can always be sure of a warm welcome, come rain or shine

And then there's a few we hate . . . . . . . .
